• September 11th: First Day of School for Grade 12
• September 22nd: Deadline to Change Courses

• October 9th: Picture Day
• November 23rd:  Term 1 Report Cards
• January 12th – 15th: Grade 12 Provincial ELA Exams
• January 26th -28th: Grade 12 Provincial Math Exams
• January 29th – February 4th: Semester 1 Final Assessments
• February 8th: Semester 2 Starts
• February 12th: Term 2 Report Cards (final marks)
• Coming Up:
  • Grad Meeting to decide on speakers
  • have infant picture of graduate submitted to the office, Mr G or Ms Harder (to be used in Grad Ceremony)
  • get copy of birth certificate to school office
  • book grad picture time slot using online form (link sent by Mr G)
• TBD: Let Mr. G know your banquet seating guests (4 per family @ $TBD/ea)
  •  Families may request extra seats, but availability based on space
• March 12th: Grad Portrait Pictures taken at GVS
• April 23rd: Term 3 Report cards

• June 16: Gr 12 Provincial Math Essentials Exam
• June 16th – 22nd: Semester 2 Final Assessments
• TBD:  Final grad meeting, final details given
• TBD: Any extra banquet tickets will be made available
• June 24th: Grad rehearsal at Emmanuel Evangelical Church in
  Steinbach
  • Meet at school at 9:00 to get ride to Steinbach
  • 9:45 am – 12:00 pm.
  • Grad Farewell lunch with high school staff
• June 25th: Come dressed in grad gown or change at church
  • Arrive at Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church in Steinbach before 2:15pm, in your grad formal wear, for grad picture.
  • Be in cap and gown by 2:30 pm
  • Graduation ceremony begins at 3:00 pm
  • Grad Banquet begins at 5:00 pm
  • Be @ GVS between 7:30-7:45pm for the Grad Parade
  • Grad Parade begins at 8pm
  • Safe Grad Party 9pm-2am

Graduation Day, June 25th

Convocation – 3:00pm @ Emmanuel Church in Steinbach;

• Arrive at Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church in Steinbach before 1:30pm, in your grad formal wear, for grad picture.
• no tickets required, open to all
• anyone can attend the ceremony
• front centre section 12 rows reserved for parents of grads

Banquet – 5:00pm (organized by Parent Grad Committee)

Parade – 8:00pm (organized by Parent Grad Committee)

After Party – 9:00pm; follows parade (organized by Parent Grad Committee)

Graduation Day – Convocation and Banquet

Convocation – 3:00pm

• come early; no tickets required, open to all
• Grad Picture at the church – 1:30pm

Banquet – 5:00pm

• grads can purchase 4 tickets (3 guests and grad)
• the approximate projected cost is $45.  The actual cost will be determined near the grad date.
• extra tickets will likely be available after all grads have had the opportunity to purchase their 4 tickets; unfortunately we can’t guarantee everyone sits at the same table

June 24th

After the grad rehearsal, students will return to GVS for their farewell with their grade 12 teachers.  Lunch will be served at 12:00pm in the gym.
