The final assessments and exam schedule for the first semester is now available – Final Exam Schedule Jan 2019. Important provincials exam dates to keep in mind are: ELA 40S – Jan 8-11th Applied Math 40S – Jan 22th Pre-Cal Math 40S – Jan 24th.

A chance to spread some holiday cheer is here Students of GVS can bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate for the Community Christmas Hampers to Mrs. Maria Friesen or Ms. Tara Duval by December 6th to receive a draw ticket for a $25 gift card. Drop off toys before 8:50 am each day please. On December 6th, two tickets will be drawn to win a $25 gift card, donated by our local Oaklane Petro.

The food drive is on! Our school is once again participating in the Farm Credit Canada Drive Away Hunger program by collecting donations of non- perishable food. All donations go directly to our local food bank. Many situations can cause people to need to use a food bank. Over 200 kids benefit regularly from food distributions in local food bank district. On Thursday, Sept. 26th, GVS will be participating in the Terry Fox Run. Following the run, GVS Student Council will be hosting a BBQ. The BBQ will take place during the regular lunch hour. Cost of the BBQ lunch is: Combo #1 – $5 for a hotdog, chips, and a drink; Combo #2 includes 2 hotdogs, chips, and a drink.
