The food drive is on! Our school is once again participating in the Farm Credit Canada Drive Away Hunger program by collecting donations of non- perishable food. All donations go directly to our local food bank. Many situations can cause people to need to use a food bank. Over 200 kids benefit regularly from food distributions in local food bank district. To add some more fun to the drive, there is a competition for the MY and SY class that brings in the most donations. In addition, when we reach 3500 lbs. our co-presidents, Dani and Sam, along with Jon E. and Mr. Hart will entertain us with their performance of the Shark song. As of Sept. 27 th , we have brought in 540 lbs. There are rumors of other challenges. Whoever comes out ahead, the food drive and the food bank will be the winner either way. The food drive continues into the third week in October. We want to reach 5000 lbs. again. “The Drive for 5!” Let’s keep this dream alive!
