In recognition of World Food Day on October 16th, our school has decided to once again participate in the Farm Credit Canada Drive Away Hunger program by collecting donations of food for people who are hungry in our area. This is our 7th year taking part in FCC’s Drive Away Hunger campaign. We are so thrilled to be partnering with Grunthal Caring Hands Food Bank to ensure that the food collected is distributed to families in our area.

The second year we had the food drive, students put out the challenge to reach 5000 pounds of food. Our school communities and the community of Grunthal responded to and surpassed that challenge each time. Can we do it again? We think we can!

We would like to ask your family to consider sending food items to school starting on Monday, September 18th. FCC representatives and local food bank representatives will be coming to our school to pick up our donations. Donations will be collected until Friday, October 6th.
